This is an installation designed to bring inspiration into the monotonous work life. By tapping, the Enlightener randomly dispenses a card with life inspiration, such as "Go downstairs and grab a latte." Coleagues can adjust their work state by completing the tasks on the card, or they can upload their own ideas to Enlightener, which will then share them with others, fostering community cocreation and bridging the gap between people.
In this project, I experimented with different shell materials, sizes, assembly methods, as well as lighting and sound effects, to create a floating and mysterious effect.
This is an interactive AR game motivated by a profound question:Do we exist as mere nothingness to the creations within the virtual world? To explore this concept, I crafted a unique foldable interactive model resembling a butterfly. This model was integrated into a gamified experience called "Helping Butterflies Create Dreams." In this interactive game, players fold the butterfly entity into various forms, guided by a virtual butterfly, to assist it in enhancing its dream.
In this project, I used Unity software to build the game logic, created an interactive model with spatial geometric shapes that can deform in multiple ways, and used image target to link physical models with virtual space.
This book teaches pre-schoolers about botany and encourages nature conservation. In an era where children's books significantly contribute to global paper waste, this book offers a sustainable solution.
Made entirely from mycelium, an eco-friendly and degradable material, it offers a sustainable alternative to traditional children's books. Each page has detachable puzzle pieces that form a plant image, with the remaining materia containing plant seeds. When buried in soil, the material decomposes and releases the seeds.
This is a phone case crafted from colorful layers of recycled plastic. Recent statistics show that smartphone user frequently discard phone cases due to rapidly changing fashion trends and non-durable designs. This trend poses a serious threat to the environment, prompting us to create a phone case that reveals its vibrant interior only after extended use.
The layers gradually wear away through handling, transforming into a unique art piece that reflects its exceptional longevity. Additionally, we have chosen to use recycled plastic as our material, sourced from various types of plastic waste, including discarded phone cases.
This is a home sofa equipped with healing light and an algae circulation system, designed to offer an in-home improvement method for individuals suffering from SAD caused by insufficient daylight exposure during certain seasons. It incorporates a large area of light sources based on phototherapy principles, where sitting in the chair for half an hour daily can significantly improve emotional states. Additionally, a higher oxygen content can also notably ameliorate SAD, so an algae circulation system is involved.
In this project, in addition to developing the concept, I also used sewing to test the shape, dimensions, and ergonomics of the sofa.
